The Humminbird 698ci HD Side Imaging fish finder/chartplotter brings you Humminbird’s powerful Side Imaging technology at a price that doesn’t break the bank. Humminbird offers two other Side Imaging units – both of which cost well over $1,000!
With a brilliant 256-color, 640×640 5″ backlit display, the 698ci shines as a fish finder and a chartplotter. It’s traditional 2D SONAR frequencies are 83 and 200 kHz, and it also features Side Imaging and Down Imaging at 455 kHz, letting you see camera-like images as deep as 100 feet.
The built in charts are Uni-Map, with a memory card slot for expanding with more maps and saving waypoints of good fishing spots – so you never have to roam around looking again – load up your waypoint, navigate to it, and you reach where the fish are!

SIDE IMAGING
Humminbird’s Side Imaging is a revolutionary new technology that is completely changing the way we fish – now, instead of just seeing below your boat, you can see up to 240 feet on EACH SIDE of your boat – for a total view of 480 feet! See the water column, structure, sunken objects, baitfish, and everything else you need to see all around you! Unlike traditional SONAR that moves from right to left, Side Imaging SONAR readings move from up to down – so you see a reading of exactly what you just passed. It’s a good idea to drive around the lake or river with Side Imaging turned on first so you can scout the area – the you can set waypoints, go back to promising spots, and start reelin’ em in!
